San Francisco, California - Robert Anderson was arraigned Friday and Scott Steever was arraigned Thursday on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering, announced United States Attorney Melinda Haag, Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson, and Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation, Special Agent in Charge José M. Martinez.

Washington, DC - Food Club Corp., the importer of record which was formerly located in Los Altos, Calif., and is now located in Key Biscayne, Fla., is recalling approximately 3,233 pounds of pork products that were produced in Spain and were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

City of Industry, California - A California dietary supplement manufacturer was ordered by a federal court to stop selling its products until the company comes into compliance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s dietary supplement manufacturing regulations and other requirements listed in the consent decree. 

Sacramento, California - Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (Coachella) announced today that $550,000 in tax credits will be awarded to two district companies: United States Gypsum Company, Imperial County and MBC USA, Inc. in Riverside. This California Competes Tax Credit program will assist both companies to add a combined 101 additional full time employees and over $45 million in local investments within the 56th State Assembly District.
