Niland, California - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a previously deported sex offender, along with four other individuals at the Highway 111 Checkpoint early Monday morning.

Palo Verde, California - Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Highway 78 Immigration Checkpoint near Palo Verde, California arrested two male United States citizens along with three Mexican nationals and one Guatemalan national in an attempted human smuggling event Sunday.

El Centro, California - Friday, afternoon, the Imperial County Registrar of Voters issued another “Unofficial Election Results” update on the Registrar’s website, for the June 5, 2018 Primary Election. The unofficial update includes all polling place voters, vote-by-mail ballots and approximately 400 provisional ballots.  This is not a final tally of all ballots.

El Centro, California - Yesterday, the Imperial County Registrar of Voters submitted a report to California’s Secretary of State, which provided the estimated number of unprocessed ballots.  In Imperial County, there are currently just over 6,900 unprocessed ballots comprised of vote-by-mail, provisional, conditional voter registration and others that require further individual review.

Margaret Sauza, Executive Director of this Imperial County based sexual violence intervention and prevention center traveled to Sacramento to receive recognition at the 3rd Annual California Nonprofits Day Ceremony.
