The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s mission to protect and promote agriculture includes an array of facilities and professionals whose job is to protect our state’s environment and habitat by identifying, collecting, cataloguing and researching both native Californian species and invasive plants, pests and other organisms that could pose a threat to our ecosystems.
