Washington, DC - The Associate Director for Laboratory Programs (ADLP) serves as the principal executive and advisor to the NIST Director on all matters related to the NIST laboratories.

The Associate Director for Laboratory Programs (ADLP) represents the NIST Director both inside and outside the agency. The ADLP is primarily responsible for representing, coordinating and overseeing the NIST laboratory programs. NIST’s laboratories serve as the National Metrology Institute for the United States, providing traceability to the International System of Units (SI) within the U.S., and coordinating with others internationally through the Treaty of the Meter. The ADLP serves as primary point of contact for NIST laboratory programs with the Director's Office and is responsible for programmatic and operational direction of the labs.
