Sacramento, California - Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) joins the California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) in announcing the California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship Program. The Foundation is awarding thousands of dollars in scholarship funds to eligible students who have been accepted into an accredited college or university. The deadline for submission is June 1, 2015.

“I’m proud to partner with the Foundation on this important program. It is my hope that our message on these scholarships spreads throughout the Imperial and Coachella Valley,” stated Assemblymember Garcia. “I strongly encourage all students in our district to take advantage of this opportunity.”

The CLLCF invites eligible students to submit applications for financial assistance to meet educational expenses.   The application and program details are available on the Foundation website: www.cllcf.org.

Twenty-Five (25) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students across the state this year. Applicant eligibility requirements include being a graduating high school senior or full time student in an accredited institution of higher learning with good academic standing. Candidates must submit a completed application and provide all required supplementary documents by the June 1st deadline.

Following the submission deadline, applications will be reviewed and scholarship winners will be determined by the end of June. The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation is a charitable, non-profit established to promote and advocate on behalf of the Latino community in California and to educate the public about Latino culture, heritage and issues of importance to Latinos in California.
