Sacramento, California - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is allocating $14.8 million to California from Section 10007 of the 2014 Farm Bill as part of its effort to strengthen the nation’s infrastructure for pest detection and surveillance, identification, and threat mitigation, and to safeguard the nursery production system. Overall, USDA is providing nearly $70 million in funding this year that will support 494 projects across the country.

Sacramento, California - The California Department of Food and Agriculture's (CDFA) Pest Exclusion Branch is announcing one mid-term vacancy on the Nursery Advisory Board.  The Board is composed of twelve voting members, each representing an establishment with a valid California License to Sell Nursery Stock.  No two members shall represent the same organization.  Members will represent a wide spectrum of the nursery industry, and the Board will be geographically representative of the nursery industry in California.
