Governor Brown Appoints Elia M. Ortiz to Napa County Superior Court

Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Elia M. Ortiz to a judgeship in the Napa County Superior Court.
Ortiz, 39, of Napa, has served as a deputy public defender at the Napa County Public Defender’s Office since 2001. Ortiz earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sonoma State University. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Raymond A. Guadagni. Ortiz is a Democrat.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
