The order extends the state’s prohibition on price gouging for counties recovering from numerous fires, including the Mendocino Complex, Carr, Tubbs, Nuns, Atlas and Thomas fires.

Sacramento, California - In response to the increasing number of horse racing deaths in California, Governor Gavin Newsom announced today his support for SB 469 by Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) which authorizes the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) to suspend horse racing licenses to protect the health and safety of horses and riders. The announcement comes after the 26th horse death at Santa Anita Park.
