Imperial, California - On Monday, December 18, 2017, the Office of Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia and AT&T will host free Distracted Driving virtual experience, “It Can Wait” events at Central Union High School and Brawley Union High School. The goal is to help put an end to this dangerous behavior by educating students and community members on the dangers of texting while driving.

Brawley, California - Former bookkeeper Claude Theodore Riley was sentenced in federal court Tuesday to 24 months in prison for embezzling from his former employer and failing to pay taxes on the stolen funds. He was also ordered to pay $273,000 in restitution to the employer and $75,000 to the Internal Revenue Service.
