Washington, DC - The Department of State applauds the November 20 signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA) between the consortium, Nevis Renewable Energy International (NREI), and the Nevis Electricity Company in St. Kitts and Nevis to develop geothermal resources. This project not only has the potential to provide sustainable renewable power to the entire country, but also may lead to the first inter-island electrical interconnection in the Caribbean.
