Reston, Virginia - The USGS US Topo map program has entered its third, three-year cycle of revising and updating the digital US Topo maps. To start this new cycle, the USGS National Geospatial Program is excited to announce the inclusion of U.S. Census Bureau’s Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) roads data for the new US Topo maps, starting with the state of Wisconsin.

Springfield, Missouri - U.S. Tammy Dickinson of the Western District of Missouri announced that a former Springfield, Missouri, man pleaded guilty in federal court today to violating the civil rights of others by leading a conspiracy to deface The Islamic Center of Springfield with graffiti and burn two copies of the Qur’an.

Twentynine Palms, California - A couple from Inglewood, CA and their friends visiting from Denmark pushed the annual visitation number over the two million mark on Monday the 28th of December at Joshua Tree National Park. This year the park sets a new record with the number of visitors in 2015, which is up from 1.6M in 2014.
