Washington, DC - Acting Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs Brian Nilsson traveled to the United Kingdom January 26-30 to participate in the U.S.-UK Defense Trade Cooperation Treaty (DTCT) Management Board meetings, as well as to participate in an industry roundtable hosted by ADS Group.

Acting Assistant Secretary Nilsson met with representatives from the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defense Equipment and Support (DES) office to consult on DTCT implementation and related defense trade issues. At the ADS Group roundtable, Acting Assistant Secretary Nilsson participated in a discussion regarding the DTCT, the status and future of the Export Control Reform initiative, and the UK defense industry’s perspectives on and experience with U.S. export controls.
