Washington, DC -  Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce will travel March 9-17 to Hungary, Serbia, and Turkey to promote and strengthen the State Department’s cultural and educational diplomacy efforts in Europe.

While in Hungary, Assistant Secretary Royce will meet with government officials and representatives from the U.S. Fulbright Commission and EducationUSA. She will also meet with alumni of U.S.-government sponsored exchange programs and local high school students.

In Serbia, Assistant Secretary Royce will meet with government officials, business leaders, and members of the Women’s Mentorship Program. She will also speak at a conference on American culture and society and attend a local cultural performance. Finally, she will host several sessions with Serbian alumni of U.S. exchange programs, and will also host a meeting on the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation.

Finally, in Turkey, Assistant Secretary Royce will deliver remarks at the reception marking the 40th Anniversary of the Humphrey Program in Turkey.
