New York, New York - SiriusXM announced today that former NBA head coach and 2013 NBA Coach of the Year George Karl has joined the roster of expert hosts on SiriusXM NBA Radio (XM channel 86, Sirius channel 207).

Karl will make his debut tomorrow, November 21, on NBA Today, airing live from 3:00-6:00 pm ET. He will host regularly throughout the season on the SiriusXM NBA Radio channel, where he will take calls from listeners around the country and share a coach's perspective on the league and its headline stories.

"I am looking forward to joining the team of hosts at SiriusXM NBA Radio," said Karl. "This is an exciting opportunity for me to share my experiences as a player and coach, and interact directly with NBA fans to deliver our listeners a deeper analysis and discussion on our game."

Drafted by the New York Knicks out of the University of North Carolina in 1973, Karl signed with the San Antonio Spurs of the ABA, where he remained until 1978. The following season Karl began his 35-plus year coaching career, starting as an assistant with the Spurs before briefly moving to the CBA. Karl returned to the NBA in 1984 and at age 33 became the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He would go on to coach the Golden State Warriors, Seattle SuperSonics, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets and compiled a 1,131-756 record over 25 seasons, including 22 playoff appearances. Karl is only the sixth coach in NBA history with more than 1,000 wins, and in 2013 he received NBA Coach of the Year honors after leading the Nuggets to a franchise-record 57 win season, despite having one of the youngest rosters in the league.

Karl joins a roster of analysts that features several former players and coaches including Mike Dunleavy, Sr., Stacey King, Malik Rose, Nancy Lieberman, Eddie Johnson, Antonio Davis, Jerry Stackhouse, Kenny Smith and Mateen Cleaves, as well as hosts Mark Boyle, Ric Bucher, Tom Byrne, Noah Coslov, Brian Geltzeiler, Jason Goff, Jared Greenberg, Kevin Harlan, Frank Isola, Jason Jackson, Joel Meyers, Justin Termine, Gerald Brown and Howie C.
