Rochester, Minnesota - A new documentary film entitled The Mayo Clinic: Faith — Hope — Science is premiering on PBS tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

Over the last three years, Emmy Award-winning documentarian Ken Burns and his team have interviewed Mayo Clinic leaders, historians, staff, and patients for the production of this film.

The documentary chronicles Mayo Clinic’s history from its roots as an unlikely partnership between a country doctor and the Sisters of Saint Francis to its position today as a worldwide model for collaborative patient care, research, and education.

"We are deeply honored to have Ken Burns share our story with the world. This is a testament to the work we do as the global authority in medicine, and to the power of the support we receive from generous benefactors like you. You are a part of the Mayo Clinic community; our story is your story. Every benefactor, patient, and family member who has experienced Mayo’s commitment to expert, whole-person care inspires us to continue to pioneer research and develop better treatments." ~ Robert Nesse, M.D.
