Washington, DC - A meeting of the Advisory Committee on International Law will take place on Monday, December 15, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the George Washington University Law School, Michael K. Young Faculty Conference Center, 716 20th Street NW, 5th Floor, Washington, D.C. Acting Legal Adviser Mary McLeod will chair the meeting, which will be open to the public up to the capacity of the conference room. The meeting will include discussions on a variety of international law topics.

Washington, DC - U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today announced that the application deadline for the dairy Margin Protection Program (MPP) will be extended until Dec. 19, 2014. The program, established by the 2014 Farm Bill, protects participating dairy producers when the margin - the difference between the price of milk and feed costs – falls below levels of protection selected by the applicant.

Washington, DC - Today, US Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced $9.7 million in grants to 62 community-based and non-profit organizations, and educational institutions to conduct training, outreach and technical assistance for socially disadvantaged (including tribal) and veteran farmers and ranchers. These awards are distributed through the Outreach and Assistance to Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers and Veteran Farmers and Ranchers Program, also known as the " 2501 Program".
