Washington, DC - Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met with Argentine Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich to discuss continued cooperation in a number of security-related areas, including combating transnational organized crime, law enforcement collaboration, and information sharing.

Secretary Johnson and Minister Bullrich discussed working together to share lessons learned and best practices, particularly with regard to enhancing security in areas along the border. Secretary Johnson emphasized the Department’s close partnership with Argentine law enforcement, with DHS officials routinely working with their counterparts in Argentina to promote aviation, maritime, and border security. 

Secretary Johnson and Minister Bullrich also reiterated their interest in facilitating legitimate trade and travel and discussed opportunities for collaboration through information sharing.
