Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Wendy Bogdan, 46, of Sacramento, has been appointed general counsel at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, where she has served as assistant chief counsel since 2012. Bogdan was a partner at Downey Brand LLP from 2007 to 2011, where she was an associate from 2000 to 2007, and was a staff attorney at Legal Services of Northern California from 1998 to 2000. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $134,004. Bogdan is registered without party preference.

Ryan Stanbra, 34, of Sacramento, has been appointed legislative and policy advisor at the Delta Stewardship Council. Stanbra has served as chief legislative consultant at the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery since 2008, where he was acting deputy director in 2012 and 2011. He served as senior legislative analyst at the California Integrated Waste Management Board from 2007 to 2008, where he was a legislative analyst from 2005 to 2007. Stanbra was a legislative analyst at the California Department of Consumer Affairs in 2005 and a legislative assistant intern at Shaw-Yoder Inc. from 2003 to 2005. He earned a Master of Arts degree in government from California State University, Sacramento. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $97,728. Stanbra is a Democrat.

Michelle Scray Brown, 51, of Hesperia, has been appointed to the State Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Brown has served as chief probation officer at the San Bernardino County Probation Department since 2009, where she has held several positions since 1985, including assistant chief probation officer and deputy chief probation officer. She earned a Master of Arts degree in criminal justice from California State University, San Bernardino. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Brown is a Republican.

Beata Draga-Morcos, 34, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Draga-Morcos has been chief executive officer at the Black American Political Association of California since 2008. She was director of operations at Worldtone Dance from 2005 to 2008. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Draga-Morcos is a Democrat.

Michael Corradino, 42, of San Diego, has been appointed to the California Acupuncture Board. Corradino has been a resident practitioner and weekly speaker at the Golden Door Spa Resort since 2013, founder and owner at Neuropuncture LLC since 2011 and co-founder and owner at the North County Integrative Acupuncture Center since 2008. He was a professor of orthopedic pain and neurology at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine from 2004 to 2012. Corradino earned a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Corradino is a Republican.

Erin Cucchi, 39, of Yuba City, has been appointed to the 13th District Agricultural Association, Yuba-Sutter Fair Board of Directors. Cucchi has been a crop insurance adjuster at Great American Insurance since 2013. She was a crop insurance adjuster at Rural Community Insurance Services from 1998 to 2013. Cucchi is president of the Franklin Elementary School Parents Club, a co-community leader at the Franklin 4-H Club and a member of the Yuba-Sutter Fair Junior Livestock Auction Committee and the Sutter-Yuba Counties 4-H Council. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Cucchi is a Democrat.
