Washington, DC - During a visit to Detroit last year, President Trump announced his administration would assess and correct the current vehicle fuel-economy standards, which impose significant costs on American consumers and eliminate jobs. The administration is continuing to deliver on that promise. On Thursday the Transportation Department and Environmental Protection Agency are announcing a joint proposal to update the national automobile fuel-economy and greenhouse-gas standards to give consumers greater access to safer, more affordable vehicles, while continuing to protect the environment.

San Diego, California - UL, in partnership with the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), today announced five recipients of this year’s annual UL Innovative Education Award (ULIEA). These nonprofit organizations have made a difference in their communities through their work to advance environmental education via STEM principles (E-STEM). As a result, they will each receive a monetary award between $25,000 and $100,000 and join an impressive network of like-minded ULIEA alumni. In addition, the winners will be paired with UL employees, including science, engineering and technical experts, to help build upon their existing successes.

Washington, DC - Whether it’s a slimmer waist or an imaginary yacht superimposed in the background, we’re all familiar with the dramatic changes that retouching can make to a photo. A lawsuit the FTC has filed against Tate’s Auto Group and related companies alleges – among other things – that the defendants substantially “retouched” the financial circumstances of customers trying to finance cars.

Washington, DC - As Apple expands its reach in the Enterprise sector, it’s important that everyone using iOS or macOS understands that there are still risks inherent with Apple products. For years, Apple has enjoyed a sterling reputation in regards to security. There even existed a persistent myth, up until recently, that Apple products couldn’t be hacked. That’s patently false.
