Los Angeles, California - A personality on a Persian-language television network who formerly acted as an “immigration consultant” was sentenced Thursday to one year and one day in federal prison for paying cash bribes to corrupt U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers in exchange for the immigration officers approving applications for citizenship.

San Francisco, California - Derf Butler, owner and president of San Francisco-based Butler Enterprises, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to defraud the United States in connection with a federal construction contract, and making false statements to federal investigators, announced United States Attorney Alex G.
