Imperial Valley, California - Recently Allied Waste Services of Imperial Valley announced its Christmas tree recycling program for its customers in Brawley, Calexico, Holtville, Imperial and the unincorporated area of Imperial County.
“We are pleased to announce that beginning December 28th, we will be picking up Christmas trees from our customers and recycling them providing state mandated diversion credit for our cities throughout Imperial Valley,” said Hector Araujo, Allied Waste Services of Imperial Valley, Division Manager.
Allied is asking its customers to set out their Christmas tree on any designated collection day from December 28 through January 31, 2009* and it will be collected at no charge to the customer. “All residents need to do is remove all decorations including ornaments and tinsel and place the tree next to their waste containers on collection day and we’ll collect the tree at no cost to our customers,” said Araujo. “Recycling Christmas trees is an important part of our environmental outreach and reusing the material will save valuable landfill space for the future. Recycling today will preserve a better tomorrow for all of our customers and the Imperial Valley,” concluded Araujo.
Please contact Allied Waste Services of Imperial Valley at (760) 355-0004 regarding your Christmas tree pickup as some dates may vary per cities. |
