U.S. Department of State and George Washington University Host Uncommon Alliances Forum

Washington, DC - Jon Carson, the White House Director of the Office of Public Engagement, will deliver keynote remarks during the opening session of the Uncommon Alliances Forum on June 4 in Washington, D.C. The event is a one-day interactive workshop about public-private partnerships and is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the Institute for Corporate Responsibility at the George Washington University School of Business.
Public-private partnerships are strengthening diplomacy and development outcomes around the world. Mr. Carson will discuss how the U.S. Government is working through partnerships with the private sector, philanthropy, and civil society to create innovative solutions to some of our greatest domestic and foreign policy challenges. Kris M. Balderston, U.S. Department of State Special Representative for Global Partnerships, and Conor B. French, President and COO of INDEGO Africa, will also deliver keynote addresses. The Uncommon Alliances Forum is free and open to the public.
The Forum will provide practitioners from the public and private sectors and civil society an opportunity to talk about the ins and outs of building alliances and techniques for overcoming hurdles, and focus on emerging trends in the partnership community.
