Washington, DC - The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy will meet in open session at the American Foreign Service Association at 2101 E Street, NW in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, February 26 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

The Commission Members will hear about U.S. Public Diplomacy and International Broadcasting Efforts in Eastern Europe and welcome Mark Toner, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and Macon Phillips, Coordinator of the Bureau of International Information Programs, at the State Department. In addition, they will hear from Jeffrey Trimble Deputy Director of the International Broadcasting Bureau at the Broadcasting Board of Governors.

This meeting is open to the public, Members and staff of Congress, the State Department, the Defense Department, the media, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
