Historic Beatles Interview

Washington, DC - 'Before the Ed Sullivan Show 50 years ago, before Beatle Mania created a frenzy in the United States and before the Mop-Tops introduced the world to a new genre of music, the awesome foursome spoke to our reporters at the American Forces Network-Europe," according to AMAC contributing writer John Grimaldi who was a reporter/newswriter at AFN.

The historic interview, now available at the Web site of the Association of Mature American Citizens [http://amac.us/historic-beatles-interview], aired on the Weekend World show hosted by Jim Stutzman.  The Beatles were the newest sensation to hit Europe and were in Paris for a live concert when the GI network caught up with them.

According to Paul McCartney, what triggered it all half-a-century ago was "a little bit of a different style."  If that was the case, that "little bit" was enough to set the world on fire and change Rock and Roll forever.  But hear for yourself what George, Paul, Ringo and John had to say when they were young and when we were young [click to listen].
