Imperial, California - The severe drought in California has brought out the creativity of the state's residents who are keen to save water, reports the Association of Mature American Citizens.

Consider the owners of two of San Francisco's popular  "watering holes," the Wish Bar and the Mission's Bond Bar.  They've created quite a buzz by offering a one dollar discount to patrons who take their drinks straight up or neat, as they say.

The statisticians figure that habitués of cocktail bars average three pounds of ice per visit and that is a lot of water.
