Imperial, California - During the holiday season, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors authorizes the closure of certain non-emergency, non-critical County Departments.  Below is a list of the schedule for all County Departments for this upcoming Holiday Season.

All Imperial County administrative offices and agencies will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2015 and Friday, January 1, 2016.

The County government offices and agencies that will be closed on Thursday, December 24, 2015 include all units of the Air Pollution Control District, Assessor, Auditor/Controller, County Clerk/Recorder, County Free Library, Public Works, Registrar of Voters, Retirement, Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office and Workforce Development Office.  Offices that will be open for half-day (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) on December 24 are Community & Economic Development, Cooperative Extension, County Counsel, Executive Office, Public Administration, Public Defender and Purchasing.  County offices and departments that will remain open on December 24 are the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office, Airport, Behavioral Health Services, Child Support Services, Clerk of the Board, District Attorney’s Office, Fire Protection/Office of Emergency Services, Human Resources & Risk Management, Planning & Development Services, Probation, Public Health, Sheriff/Coroner’s Office and Social Services.

On Thursday, December 31, 2015 the Clerk of the Board will be closed.  The County government offices and agencies that will be open for half-day (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) on December 31 are Community & Economic Development, Cooperative Extension, County Counsel, Executive Office, Public Administration, Public Defender and Purchasing.  All remaining county offices and agencies will be open on December 31, including the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office, Air Pollution Control District, Airport, Assessor, Auditor/Controller, Behavioral Health Services, Child Support Services, Clerk of the Board, County Clerk/Recorder, District Attorney’s Office, Fire Protection/Office of Emergency Services,  County Free Library, Human Resources & Risk Management, Planning & Development Services, Probation, Public Health, Public Works, Registrar of Voters, Retirement, Sheriff/Coroner’s Office, Social Services, Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office and Workforce Development Office.

If you plan to or foresee a need to conduct business with County Departments during the holiday season, it is recommended that you contact the departments in advance to find out of any changes to the departments’ regular business schedule.
