Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of State is proud to announce Global Partnerships Week 2015 (GPW), which will run from March 9-15, 2015, and calls for the Department, organizations, and individuals to participate by hosting partnership-related events and activities around the world.

GPW is held annually to recognize and celebrate the critical role public-private partnerships play in promoting diplomacy and development around the world. The week is an effort led by Secretary of State John Kerry’s Office of Global Partnerships (S/GP), in collaboration with the U.S. Agency for International Development and Concordia, with support from the United Nations Foundation and .CO.

GPW activities and events serve to encourage the creative collaboration needed to tackle global challenges while promoting innovation and recognizing the achievements of existing partnerships of all kinds. The kickoff event on March 9 is a full day Global Partnership Practitioners Conference at the State Department in Washington, D.C. that will allow public-private partnership practitioners from the government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations to discuss common challenges and best practices in building partnerships.

The Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships encourages any organization or individual to organize local events that foster, support, and highlight the impact of cross-sector collaboration, as well as showcase potential partnership opportunities for local public, private, and non-governmental organizations. Past events have ranged from small networking gatherings and webinars to larger-scale panels and conferences, in Washington, D.C. and abroad.

Additional information and a registration form for events can be found on the GPW website at p3.co. Follow GPW on social media with #gpw2015, @GPatState, @usaid, and @ConcordiaSummit.
