Fugitive from the State of Nevada Convicted of Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Sacramento, California - United States Attorney Benjamin Wagner announced today that Christopher Lee Lang, 48, of Grass Valley, California, was convicted today with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Los Angeles, California - A federal investigation into a drug-trafficking organization led by two brothers who oversaw the distribution of cocaine to Italy and across the United States – as well as methamphetamine being trafficked across the U.S. – has led to the indictment of nine defendants, three of whom were arrested Wednesday.

Cal EMA Activates Operation Centers in Response to Wildfires

Sacramento, California - In response to the Spring Fire in Ventura County and a pair of wildfires in Riverside County, the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) has activated the State Operations Center and Joint Information Center at Cal EMA Headquarters as well as, the Southern Regional Emergency Operations Center at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos to coordinate the state's response to local government.
