Escondido, California - The San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s rhino keeper staff invites you to join them at Cinco de Rhino, an evening of fun and fundraising.

Come mingle with friends and San Diego Zoo Safari Park keeper staff over happy hour drink and food specials while helping to raise funds for rhinos. Raffle items include select Safari Park tours, and the money raised will directly benefit the International Rhino Foundation’s “Indian Rhino Vision 2020,” which helps greater one-horned rhinos (also known as the Indian rhino) in several reserves in Asia. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

The five species of rhino - white, black, greater one-horned, Sumatran and Javan - face a very bleak future. There is a rhino poached every eight hours in South Africa for their horn. At this rate, rhinos could go extinct in 15 years.
