Washington, DC - Today, Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland will travel to Nicosia, Cyprus, where she will meet with officials of the Cypriot Government to discuss further advancing U.S.-Cypriot relations, as well as regional issues.  She will also meet with Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders to convey continued U.S. support for a fair and lasting settlement of the Cyprus problem through the process facilitated by the UN Secretary-General’s Good Offices Mission.  In addition, the Assistant Secretary will meet with UN Special Advisor Espen Barth Eide.

Assistant Secretary Nuland will then travel to Paris, France, April 20-21, to discuss a range of regional and global issues with senior government officials.
