Sacramento, California - The United States has intervened in a complaint against Sutter Health LLC, a California-based healthcare services provider, and an affiliated entity, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, (collectively “Sutter”) that alleges that Sutter violated the False Claims Act by submitting inaccurate information about the health status of beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage Plans, the Justice Department announced.  Sutter Health is headquartered in Sacramento, California.

Los Angeles, California - A federal jury in Los Angeles, California found a pharmacy owner guilty Friday for her role in a Medicare fraud scheme involving more than $1.3 million in fraudulent claims for prescription drugs.

Sacramento, California - The California Department of Food and Agriculture's Division of Animal Health and Food Safety Services is announcing a vacancy on the Cattle Health Advisory Task Force (CHATF). Food and Agricultural Code Section 10610 provides for the establishment of a task force to advise the secretary of agriculture on the control and management of cattle diseases and evaluate the effectiveness of cattle health programs.
