Sacramento, California - A federal grand jury returned a three-count indictment Thursday, December 12 against Christopher Espinoza, 27, of Carmichael, charging him with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.

Fresno, California - Forrest Awbrey, 29, formerly of Fresno, was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison for receipt and distribution of child pornography, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.

Santa Ana, California - A federal jury Friday morning found seven people guilty of conspiracy and mail fraud for participating in a decades-long, multi-million dollar telemarketing scheme that targeted thousands of small businesses and charities.

Sacramento, California - A federal grand jury returned an indictment on December 5, against Timothy Allen Horwath, 50, of Redding, charging him with receipt of child pornography, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.

Oakland, California - Sharon Ringgenberg was sentenced to 15 months in prison for her role in a scheme to commit wire fraud, announced United States Attorney David L. Anderson, Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge John F. Bennett, and Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation, Special Agent in Charge Kareem Carter.  In addition to the prison term, Ringgenberg was ordered to pay restitution totaling $705,000 to victims of the scheme.  The sentence was handed down by the Hon. Jon S. Tigar, U.S. District Judge on December 6, 2019.

Fresno, California - Aric Matthew Salazar, 36, formerly of Clovis, was sentenced today to 10 years in prison, for receipt and distribution of child pornography, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.
