Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of David E. Goldstein to a judgeship in the Contra Costa County Superior Court.

Goldstein, 46, of Walnut Creek, has served as an attorney at the Contra Costa County Public Defender’s Office since 1995, where he was a law clerk from 1994 to 1995. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis. Goldstein fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David B. Flinn. He is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $189,041.
